Brockhaus 1888. (VIII) 203, (XIV) (2) 160 (fold-out), (XVI) 93, (2) 58 pages in a contemporary leather spine hardcover with double title labels, colored endpapers and strengthened corners. There are a few different parts of this book, as can be seen in the pagination. The main headings of the contents, with pagination, are: Publisher's foreword to 2nd edition (VII) / Publisher's introduction 1-137 / The publisher's biography of Schopenhauer (139-203) / The main work, in 3 sub-sections (160, 93 & 58 and surrounding pages). The fold-out contain 6 illustrations ("figures") of simple geometric figures or similar. --- There are whitish discolorations on the front boards along the fore-edges, and in a 3 x 5 cm. (roughly) area on the back board. The spine is alittle scuffed and with wear on the first 1-1.5 cm. of the outer hinges, from head and down. Contents are in very good shape; minimally age toned and wavy, and without foxing. Overall condition is very good, or atleast good.
