Hyggligt skick. Paris 1851. 384 (double column) pages in a large (22.5 x 30.5 cm.) half-leather with all edges green sprinkled. Illustrated by J.-A. Beaucé et Staal, engravings by A. Lavieille. Owner's signature (Carl Stål) dated 1852 on inside of front cover, and a loosely attached note states that he was a professor. --- Covers are scuffed, cover edges shelf-worn and corners are very worn. The spine is lightly scuffed. The main flaw of this copy is a rather large moist stain showing primarily on endpapers and title page (see picture), but the outlines of it remain well over 100 pages into the book. That aside,contents are in good shape; bright, clean and close to 100% free from foxing. Pages are alittle wavy though, because of the stain obviously. A fair copy, if not for the stain. All in all decent. Price reduced 50% due to flaw.
