Front cover is bound-in. The book comes with a dust jacket with illustrated front.with black background, the backside is white. The book is illustrated with 10-15 original woodcuts by Thorbjørn Egner. Foreword by Daugfinn Hauge, prison priest in "Akershus", since the author, who was imprinsoned in Akershus during war time,wanted to remain anonymous at the time. --- The hardcover has bent/dented top corners and dented spine ends. Gift inscription on front flyleaf. The very tip of the top corners are slightly bent til page 15. Mentioned flaws aside, the contents are pretty much flawless. The jacket is minimally worn around the edges, alittle more at the corners and has a couple of tiny tears on the front, along the foot edges.
