Dr. Frohock, who lived in Cambridge, taught at Harvard as a professor of Romance languages and literature from 1956 until his retirement in 1976 and was chairman of the Romance language department there from 1958 to 1962. Before joining the Harvard faculty, he taught at Brown, Columbia and Wesleyan universities. He lectured widely in the United States and also taught at universities in Munich and Heidelberg, West Germany, and Lille, France. Dr. Frohock was the author of several volumes of literary criticism.
