Man's Place in the Cosmos : and other Essays

Gott skick. Andrew Seth was professor of logic and metaphysics at the university of Edinburgh. This is a scarce classic work presenting various philosopical essays. --- Edinburgh and London, William Blackwood and Sons 1897. 308 pages + 2 pages of "from the same author" + a 32 page catalogue of Blackwood and Sons' publications, all bound in a blue cloth hardcover with gilt lettering/decoration on the spine and endpapers colored with a intense lilac color. Inside the front cover in the bottom right corner is a small sticker which says "B. H. BLACKWELL, Bookseller[...]" and in the top left corner, a simple ex-libris (text only): "From the library of Sidney Ball" (- most likely the socialist). --- Corners and spine ends are bumped and covers edges show light traces of shelf-wear. Some soiling to covers, not very eye-catching at all though. Contents are very nice, there are however occasional light pencil lines in the margin. Owners signatures "S. Ball" and "Elof Åkesson". Measure (base x height): 14.5 x 20.5 cm.
