Mycket gott skick. LP, Discovery DS-798 (1969 / 1979). Pianisten Clare Fischer hade ett fint storband i Los Angeles på 1960-talet och här är en återutgivning av en svåråtkomlig LP som gjordes då. Enligt Fischer själv låter återutgivningen bättre, eftersom basåtergivningen snöptes på originalutgåvan. "...Fischer had a particularly strong group at the time, featuring such major soloists as trumpeters Steve Huffsteter and Conte Candoli, Warne Marsh on tenor, baritonist Bill Perkins (showcased on "Calaumus") and altoist Gary Foster, all of whom receive solo space. The leader contributed half of the selections (which also include Lennie Tristano's "Lennie's Pennies" and Billy Strayhorn's "Upper Manhattan Medical Group") and takes a very rare alto solo on the brief "In Memoriam" (dedicated to the slain Kennedys).
