As new. The Pullen Expedition in Search of Sir John Franklin. Fine in gilt lettered, padded blue leatherette in fine slipcase. Both the book and the slipcase are as new. W.J.S. Pullen & W. H. Hooper set out in boats from HMS Plover (Wainwright, Alaska) in the summer of 1849 and ascended the MacKenzie River. Pullen wintered at Ft. Simpson and the following summer they descended the MacKenzie, searching as far as Cape Bathurst before re-ascending the MacKenzie and returning to England via York Factory. This is the first publication of Pullen's journals. Selected and Introduced by H. F. Pullen. Ämnesord: Polar, Arktis, John Franklin, Arctic
