A corner fold and some minor creases and spots to the margins. A map of Europe issued for the "Atlas universel illustré ". The map is flanked by scientific instruments, cherubs, a population table, an explanatory text, the words Paix, Abondance, Equité and Verité on the base of two statues, the coats of arms of the countries of Europe as well as many other symbols and figures. The six maps in "Atlas universel illustré" are most of the time bound with "Atlas national illustré" by Victor Levasseur. It is unclear to me if "Atlas universel illustré" was published as an atlas by itself.
