In the midst of every flame is a nucleus of blue, the power center that ignites the fire and keeps it burning. It is the same with Swedish artist and potter Hertha Bengtson. The blue fire is the driving force of her life's work. For almost half a century she has been one of the leading and most active Swedish designers - perhaps the first woman in her profession to seriously appreciate the importance of pleasure in the porcelain used for everyday meals. This book is richly illustrated with beautiful, unique color plates and carries full text in both Swedish and in English.
