The book is a hardcover with dust jacket. It is used but in condition as almost new. The dustjacket price is not clipped. The corners and edges show very minor rubbing/wear that is hardly even noticeable. The jacket is crisp, clean and bright! The cover boards are very fine! They are clean, bright and crisp with no wear! The front free end paper has a few light and small spots that I am not sure if it is from age or something else, but there are also two small spots you can see from the outside edge of the same colour but are only around the bottom corner and show on a few pages for each. The rest of the pages are clean and crisp with no signs of wear. The green top stain is excellent. The binding is tight and the book looks unread! This is truly a rare and excellent condition for this author’s scarce second book!

The author's second novel, published as The Dark of the Sun in the United Kingdom. This story about a band of mercenaries sent on a dangerous mission during the Congo Crisis served as the basis for the 1968 adventure-war film Dark of the Sun (also known as The Mercenaries in the United Kingdom), which was directed by Jack Cardiff and featured Rod Taylor, Yvette Mimieux, Jim Brown, and Peter Carsten.
