Those who make a study of theSecond World War will agree, I am sure, that Ian Kershaw is one of the greatest exponents of what caused the Second World War, the development of the conflict, and the peace the ensued. His attention to detail, his balanced interpretations, and his originality of issues that might have escaped the attention of those less concentrated makes his books riveting. Having read this book I am left with wondering how one man could know so much. I have discovered that his source tentacles go into places where curators cannot find. We benefit from a 'busy-body' who knows a lot more than his own subject. Not only is this book a great read but you will be much wiser afterwards.
