Nyskick. Anders Hallengren (1950-2024) was a Swedish author, scholar and composer, a Harvard alumnus, and a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London and New South Wales. He was President of the Swedenborg Society of London 2011-2013, Vice President 2013-15. He received his doctorate for a dissertation on Emerson's philosophy (The Code of Concord, published in 1994) and is the author of monographs on Petrarch (Petrarca i Provence, 2003), and Swedenborg (Gallery of Mirrors, 1998; The Grand Theme, 2013) and is the author of poetical works (Pentagrams | Pentagramme, 2012).He has lectured in many countries on historical and topical issues, including India, the People's Republic of China, Russia, and South Africa. Nobel Laureates in Search of Identity and Integrity (2004, 2005, 2006, 2014) was an outcome of his research project "Voices of Different Cultures". In recent years he has taken an even deeper interest in pre-modern literature and has coauthored Pangs of Love and Longing: Configurations of Desire in Premodern Literature (2013) and Fiction and Figuration in High and Late Medieval Literature (2016).
