A short American Tramp int the fall of 1864 by the editor of 'Life in normandy'. Edinburgh, Edmonston and Douglas, Printed by R & R Clark, Edinburgh MDCCCLXV [1865]. First edition. Large 8vo. 15 x 21 cm. vii + (2) + 427 pp. With some plates and maps, one map colored. Bound in publisher's very worn, purple fullcloth. Spine especially worn, very faded and with cracks alongside hinges. Loose in binding, almost a bit loose from textblock. Gold-tooled title faded. Pages uncut and mostly unopened. The first part of the book covers Canada, and the latter part USA. Sabin 80595, not in Howes and recorded in only two Canadian libraries. Frontespice of Harbour of St. John's and the map shows 'the present position of a Marine Glacial Period'.
