(6) 430 (1) pages bound in a decorative leather spine hardcover with 3 raised bands, gilt top edges, marbled board papers and endpapers, and a richly gold imprinted spine. Original covers are bound-in, both front and back. --- There are a few scuff marks on the covers. The outer hinges are cracking from the head and down. It is difficult to tell if the length of the crack is the obvious first 1 cm. or if perhaps hinges has already been cracked 5-6 cm. down, and then glued tightly together. Either way, the volume is very solid and unless one pulls the spine head to unshelve the book, or uses other very unhealthy anti-preservation methods, the cracking will stop where it is or atleast most likely stay there for a very long time. Measure (base x height): 12.5 x 18.5 cm.
