Written c. 1757-59, the Apocalypse Explained, along with the Arcana Caelestia, is Swedenborg’s most comprehensive and detailed biblical exegesis. Every verse in the Book of Revelation is discussed up to chapter 19:10. At the end are two treatises on "The Divine Love" and "The Divine Wisdom".
This verse-by-verse exposition on the inner spiritual meaning of the Book of Revelation provides a revealing insight into the visionary theology of Emanuel Swedenborg and are a major contribution to Swedenborg’s understanding of the Bible.
