Bound in contemporary, green cloth with goldtooled frontcover and spine and blindtooled backcover (signed Buchbinder H. Sperling, Leipzig). Somewhat out of square, spine slightly faded, corners bumped and the pages dampstained, especially title, and with some foxing. With contemporary handwritten poem on first flyleaf: God bless you, dearest Bertha! I wish you may gain a tender heart, To hate and fly from sin; -, To see you humble, truthful, meek, What blessings greater could I seek! Signed July 6th 1855, Roselands.
