First edition. 13,5 x 19,8 cm. 254 pp. Bound in publisher's green cloth with preserved dustjacket, decorated by Hans Tisdall. With advertisement from publisher. Front cover with decoration in red. Lower edge uncut. Spine slightly out of square and corners lightly bumped. Dustjacket a little worn. Flyleaf with previous owners signature (G. Bauer). A nice copy. Cape's edition preceded the American edition, Scribner's, by three days.
