Written by one of Sweden´s foremost motoring historians (who was given unlimited access to the Volvo archives), the book ranges from the prototypes of the mid-20s and top-secret experimental models of todays successful 740/760 series and the new sports car, 480ES. The 236 pages in the book are richly illustrated with over 300 black and white photographs (several appearing for the first time) and about 200 colour plates, many of which are by the renowned Swedish motoring photographer, Peter Hanenton.
