The map area 72 x 111 cm. The whole sheet 75 x 125 cm. Tears in the margins. A couple of crudely repaired tears into the map area. Brown paper tape along the margins on the back. The famous Akrel map of Stockholm was published in 1803. Here we have an early facsimil of that map, probably executed in the late 1800s. A photomechanical copy of the original. It is quite crude and a bit blurry which is natural since it was made in the early days of this kind of reproduction technique. It is slightly larger than the original. There are ink blobbs here and there. A distinct white line across the map is probably due to a crease on the original. A couple of small white areas are probably due to damages on the original. Vasabron and Riksbron have been penciled into the original. Rare.
