The author of many articles and Doom, he received the distinguished service award of the New York chapter of the American Medical Writers Association in 1959. He was an administrative consultant to both private and public health organizations and senior consultant to the Surgeon General of the Army, 1942‐54.
While serving as science editor of the American Weekly (1940 to 1947), he was also chairman of the department of general science of the School of Commerce at N.Y.U. He then spent about two years on lecture tours, speaking about atom bomb tests at Bikini, which he had witnessed in 1946, and advances in medical research.
He contributed articles to such magazines as The Saturday Evening Post, Readers’ Digest, Today's Health and Esquire. His books included “Atomic Revolution,” “Young People's Book of Atomic Energy,” and “Your Arthritis—What You Can Do About It.”
