Baksidestext: A symposium about popular medicine with the topic "Learned and popular tradition in popular medicine" was held in Stockholm on the invitation of the Nordiska museet in May 1961. Participants at the symposium were about 20 scholars from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland representing medicine, medical history, veterinary science, cultural anthropology, religions history, and ethnography.
