Hardcovers in publisher's decorated, clothbound, boards with mounted plates on the front covers. Embossed text on front covers and on the spines. Somewhat worn on the covers and along the edges. The first and the second volumes' bindings are somewhat loosened but intact. Also in the first volume is a small article about the author pasted onto the front flyleaf. All together 1 553 pgs. The books are richly illustrated with photographs, drawings, with 20 colorplates, 8 maps, and also with frontispice's in each copy. Text in German. The books are in good condition.
