(4) + 339 pp. Conatiains Xenophons 'Historia Graeca'. Bound in a contemporary halfcalf with gooldtooled spine, marbled boards and coloured edges. Volume bumped and worn at edges and spine. Provenance: Per Erik Bergfalk (1798-1890), Swedish professor in law and rector of Upsala University between 1852 and 1853, who also has made a list of the defects (stains and ink plumps) at the end of the volume, dated Uppsala 1825, Martin Engström who has bought the book in Uppsala 1933 and the bookplate of Hans-Uno Bengtsson (1953-2007), Swedish author and associate professor in physics. Text in greek. Only volume IV of VI. One of Carl Tauchnitz (1761-1836) publications. His editions of the Greek and Latin classics were famous for their accuracy and cheapness.
