Nära nyskick. A “Danish Ceramics Bibliography” has been compiled to give a comprehensive overview of literature on Danish Ceramics from 1880-1997, both studio pottery and mass-produced ceramics. It includes literature on individual potters and artists as well as workshops and factories.

The reader can find references to literature on potters and artists such as Tove Anderberg, Arne Bang, Thorvald Bindesbøll, J.P. Dahl-Jensen, Gutte Eriksen, Fanny Garde, Jean Gauguin, Bente Hansen, Niels Hansen Jacobsen, Effie Hegermann-Lindencrone, Gerd Hiort Petersen, Jais-Nielsen, Asger Jorn, Knud Kyhn, Bodil Manz, Patrick Nordström, Axel Salto, Alev Siesbye, Eva Stæhr-Nielsen, Joakim, Niels and Suzette Skovgaard, Gertrud Vasegaard and J.F. Willumsen, together with many others who are well-known, and some who are not so well-known - a total of 1.785 potters, artists and designers.

Literature on Aluminia, Bing & Grøndahl, Royal Copenhagen, L. Hjorth, P. Ipsens Enke, Herm. J. Kähler and Saxbo together with many workshops and factories is also thoroughly dealt with.

The bibliography includes references to books, articles in periodicals, annual publications, catalogues, etc. written in Danish and other languages.

The bibliography will therefore be an indispensable tool for those interested in ceramics, and for libraries, museums and other who have professional connections with Danish ceramics, but also for collectors who wish to know where to find information on individual potters, artists, workshops or factories.

The bibliography is compiled by Gunnar Jakobsen who has earlier published a bibliography on books illustrated by the famous Danish illustrator Ib Spang Olsen and co-author on a Bibliography on the History of Danish Customs and Excise.

The bibliography “Dansk keramisk bibliografi 1880-1997” contains 7,000 references and consists of 650 pages, handsomely bound in a quality cloth binding,
